After reading about the treatment of women by Islamic extremists, I am left pondering the wicked extremes of humanity. In the West, women are considered failures if they do not work at jobs leaving their young children to be cared for by hired babysitters and daycare. In Sharia ruled countries, women are considered half a man in status and intelligence. Women are like slaves in these countries. They are beaten and refused basic human rights. In the United States of America, most women work outside of their homes and enjoy the same rights as men, but they neglect the basic instincts of nurturing mothers; That is to stay with their children and raise them in love rather than sending them off to be cared for by others. Babysitters and daycare workers do not love children like a mother does. I believe we should learn to do more with one income in order to have secure healthy children.
Men are considered better in Islamic nations and women as inferior beings. Men often divorce their wives and move on to younger, prettier women. Older women are used and abused as servants. In the West, men don’t know exactly what their role is any more. Undervalued as leaders and stripped of their masculinity, they seek comfort in physical pleasures and many abandon their young, leaving children in different homes with various mothers who are trying to find ways to support them.
Women don’t know how to care for a family anymore. They don’t understand they should build their husbands up and try to help them in their calling as men. They don’t understand that men need to feel like MEN. They need to feel they are competent to care for their families. They were ordained by God to lead their families, not be hen-pecked men doing what their wives dictate. Instead, today most women compete with their husbands for authority.
Oh, for balance! Oh, for homes where the husband is the loving, kind head of the house and the wife is the nurturing caregiver and helper that God intended! Oh, for men who value their wife’s wisdom and advice, honoring them and appreciating them and taking their advice to heart. Oh, for women who will defer to their husband’s final say even if they don’t agree!
There cannot be two bosses and God gave the final say and the responsibility for those decisions to husbands. Single women are responsible for their own decisions and mistakes. The rule of submission is only for wives in order to maintain peace in disagreement. It is not because any man is superior, it is simply because it is the order that God ordained since the fall of man.
Sexual purity is not a prudish, outdated rule. Purity is a commandment by God. Marriage is honorable and the marriage bed is undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators God will judge. The beautiful benefit of a God ordained marriage is physical, spiritual, and emotional unity between a husband and wife. It is not to be exploited as an animalistic act simply for a moment of pleasure. It is a joining of two hearts, minds and bodies in marriage.
Oh, for peaceful homes with contentment today! Balance and love. Strong families! Secure children nurtured in love by two parents! Women caring for their own children, yet able to get out of the house from time to time to visit friends, go shopping, get a break from monotony. Men able to enjoy recreation and a break from monotony. Women able to make money from home while caring for their families. Men treated like men, honored, and cared for by their wives. Men respected by their families being encouraged to be the best they can be. Women encouraged by their husbands to be the best they can be. Parents respected by their children and parents who will listen to their children’s requests, grievances, and opinions. Children who are taught to obey, with loving discipline.
Only with the Holy Spirit of God ruling in human hearts can any of this come to be. We are born with sinful and selfish natures. Only God’s Holy Spirit can overcome this fallen nature. Oh Father, your kingdom come, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
